Privacy policy

CupUnit is a free, static cooking-measurement converter; every conversion runs in your browser. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by CupUnit. For any privacy question, contact support.cupunit@gmail.com.

What we collect

The converter needs no account and stores nothing about you on a server. Your unit, ingredient and cup preferences are saved only in your browser; your current selection also appears in the page address so you can share a link. If non-essential cookies are active, our analytics and advertising partners (Google) receive the standard technical data described below.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Where analytics is active, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It processes data such as your device and browser type, pages viewed and approximate region; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses, and we never use it to identify you personally. Where consent is required and not given, Analytics runs in a cookieless mode or not at all.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

With your consent, Google AdSense may show ads and set cookies to measure and, where allowed, personalize them. Google acts as an independent controller for that data. You can review Google’s practices and turn off personalized ads in your Google Ad Settings.

Cookies

Where the law requires consent (for example in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland), non-essential cookies are set only after you accept them. Elsewhere they may be set by default, and you can opt out at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. See our cookie policy for the full list.

Legal basis

In the EU/EEA and UK, analytics and advertising cookies are used only on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Storing your preferences in your browser relies on our legitimate interest in providing a working tool.

Your rights

You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. You also have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
